The Club’s annual festival – SESSIONFEST – is on again this coming June long weekend, 5th – 8th June.
This is a unique festival in that there are no paid performers and no festival fee! Although there are scheduled blackboard concerts – where you can put your name down to perform – plus a themed concert on Saturday night and a Sunday Gospel concert, the rest of the program is in your hands….you create the event, the music, and the atmosphere.
This year the festival is being moved to a new location with lots of great amenities and nearby facilities. The Morisset Showground in Ourimbah Street, Morisset is the venue.
Amenities: Huge area, room for caravans, motor-homes & Taj-Mahal tent sites, plenty of powered sites, water taps everywhere, hot showers, a huge undercover area if the weather gets too bad (unless there is some other event on at the time), flat campsites for tents, market stalls on the Saturday morning (whether we like it or not – but it does have a good reputation as far as markets go), local pub, shops, restaurants etc very close by, railway station 5 minutes walk away, easy access from the freeway. Camping fees apply
We will have our big kitchen/session tent as usual, along with our jug, toaster, sandwich maker etc. Also tea, coffee, cold drinks & the usual mulled wine etc will be available – for a donation.
