SessionFest 2010
JUNE long weekend - Friday 11th - Monday 14th June 2010

The Newcastle & Hunter Valley Folk Club invites you to ...
SESSIONFEST – A FOLK MUSIC EVENT
SessionFest is a SessionFEAST!
No paid performers! No Festival fees!

Newcastle & Hunter Valley Folk Club's local Festival SESSIONFEST is now entering into its seventh outing, the third year at BARGOED HOUSE, SWANSEA, a privately-owned pristine nature reserve, gated to protect flora and fauna, and a 'hidden treasure' quietly tucked away on the shores of beautiful LAKE MACQUARIE, with the outside world only 5 minutes away!
The site's Facilities are well adapted to large groups, including a Camp Kitchen, all 'mod cons', a large outdoor undercover BBQ, Community Hall for wet weather (BYO Chair) and lots of established Campfire sites.
The attractions include spacious camping facilities, close to the lake, a creek running through the site, walking trails and wildlife surrounding the central Sports Oval (for footy, cricket, kites or whatever you choose). Also a Boat ramp, fishing spots, Tennis
Court, Canoes, children & fenced toddler Playgrounds, Mini Putt Putt and more, so bring all your gear to play! This is a unique and intimate site, with our unique and intimate Festival - we love it!
Our site will be on the Lakeside, at the Point.
SESSIONFEST is a Session FEAST, and session etiquette applies! Come and sing, play, yarn, swap, learn, teach, and encourage. We dare you to try something different, through all facets of Folk–we can all become 'lunchtime' performers, both young and old, with opportunities to present at our daily Walk-up concerts, and we love it! Please tell your friends, spread the word.
