Colum Sands
"Songs for the times that you dream of, and the times when you wish you could dream.." Colum Sands is a singer songwriter from County Down who travels the world at a much slower rate than his songs. His unique style of combining songs and stories has made him a much sought performer at home and abroad - his 2007 stage appearances bring him from Ireland to Germany, Denmark, UK, Australia, United States and Israel. A founder of independent label Spring Records, Colum encourages the work of song writers and traditional musicians.

Les Barker
Les is an English poet best known for his comedic poetry and parodies of popular songs, however he has also produced some very serious thought-provoking written work. Originally from Manchester he trained in accountancy before his talent for the written word was discovered. Initially he toured around folk music venues as a solo performer, and later with The Mrs Ackroyd Band (named after his mongrel dog Mrs Ackroyd). He has published 77 books to date and has released (either as a solo performer or with his band) 20 albums. His books typically feature a mixture of monologues and comic songs, with a few serious songs.

Jackie Luke and Greg Wilson make up one of Australia’s most distinctive duos.Currently dividing their time between the Brooklyn on the shores of the Hawkesbury River, and Dungog on the beautiful Williams River, it is hardly surprising that rivers, mountains, and the Australian bush find their way into Springtide’s signature Harp & Dulcimer repertoire. Recently they released a new CD Singing My Family Tree, which features Jackie’s sweet vocals, and Greg’s expertise on the Button Accordion, and Concertina. Expect Scottish tunes to rub shoulders with Maori legend, Cornish Reels, Irish airs, and songs which are touching, unusual, and sometimes humorous. Springtide is joined by Rita Woolhouse on cello.

Triantan
Triantan is Gaelic for "Triangle". Three fine and powerful singers - Judy Pinder, Miguel Heatwole and Anthony Woolcott sing Irish and Scottish songs that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck. They have a broad range of traditional and modern material, in English as well as Gaelic, weaving harmonies in the melodic, unaccompanied style which has become their trademark. Triantán grew out of the folk-singing sessions of Sydney and have been performing together since 1993.

Wheeze and Suck Band
The Wheeze and Suck Band are a five piece group featuring guitars, mandolins, fiddle, melodeons, percussion and vocals, performing an exciting mix of traditional, contemporary and original 'roots' music. These costumed 'mad hatters' sing rousing sounds and soulful ballads in exquisite four part harmony and play high energy instrumental dance tuns which can often lead to audience participation and revelry.
