Newcastle and Hunter Valley Folk Club's Festival SESSIONFEST is now entering into it's 8th year, the forth year at BARGOED HOUSE, SWANSEA, a privately-owned pristine nature reserve, gated to protect flora and fauna, and a 'hidden treasure' quietly tucked away on the shores of beautiful LAKE MACQUARIE, with the outside world only 5 minutes away!

 

The attractions include spacious camping facilities, close to the lake, a creek running through the site, walking trails and wildlife surrounding the central Sports Oval, (for footy, cricket, Kites) or whatever you choose. Also a Boat ramp, fishing spots, Tennis Court, Canoes, childrens & toddler fenced Playgrounds, Mini Putt Putt and more, so bring all your gear to play!
 

The site's Facilities are well adapted to large groups, including a Camp Kitchen, all 'mod.cons', a large outdoor undercover BBQ, Community Hall for wet weather (BYO Chair) and lots of established Campfire sites. This is a unique and intimate site, with our unique and intimate Festival.
 

Our sites will again be on the Lakeside, at the POINT.

 

SESSIONFEST is a Session FEAST, and session etiquette applies! Come and sing, play, yarn, swap, learn, teach, and encourage. We dare you to try something different, through all facets of Folk – we can all become 'lunchtime' performers, both young and old, with opportunities to present at our daily Walk-up afternoon and evening concerts, and we love it!
