Jez Lowe and Kate Bramley |  |

Jez Lowe is one of the premier singer songwriters of the UK. He is one of the busiest and most in-demand performers on the current acoustic music scene, and it is a great honour for the club to host this concert. Born in County Durham to a family with coal mining connections, he has built an enviable reputation as a songwriter and performer in the world of acoustic music. He is a recognised ambassador for his native North East with more than a dozen albums over the last 20 years. Kate Bramley is Jez Lowe’s special guest and has toured Australia with him before. She has a fine voice, plays fiddle, and is a songwriter in her own right. Together they combine to produce a sensitive and lyrical accompaniment to these songs of North East.

As for instruments, you'll spot Accordion, Banjo, Bass, Bazooki, Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin, Piano and some percussion, if we're lucky.

    Support: `Mainly Tunes’ Group - an assemblage of local musicians who gather together once a month, to play tunesof many and various origins.
Our repertoire evolves, but slowly. Having bush music club beginnings, we are now up to the dizzy heights of pinching them off the internet! We do the odd song when the spirit moves.
